Becoming a Veteran Student at Polk State College

- Schedule a meeting with an Advisor to help select an approved program of study.
- Apply for Financial Aid.
- Visit fafsa.gov to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application provides access to additional financial aid resources beyond VA educational benefits or Tuition Assistance.
- Fill out FAFSA with Polk State College as your school.
- Use the school code 00151400 or 001514 when completing the FAFSA for Polk State College.
Note: Scholarships and grants are considered “free money,” while loans must be repaid.
- Order your military training transcript.
