XploreFLEd at Polk State College
Polk State College is a proud member of the Florida Department of Education’s XploreFLEd, which offers online degree programs at a reduced cost for out-of-state (non-resident) students.
Out-of-state students can enroll in the below degree programs through Polk State College at a tuition rate of $290 per credit hour, a significant decrease to the standard $469.70 per credit hour for out-of-state students in upper-division courses.
Eligibility includes residency outside of Florida (not international), a relevant associate degree, and successful completion of prerequisites. Admission is rolling into each of these programs.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management with a concentration in Healthcare Administration
The Healthcare Administration Concentration within the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management degree program prepares students to enter the workforce as medical/health services managers. In this profession, graduates are responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and supervising the delivery of healthcare. They may be specialists managing specific clinical departments, or generalists managing a facility or system. Their work as managers involves a complex array of factors impacting today’s healthcare environment: technology, regulations, accreditation, innovation in treatment and delivery, system finance, and insurance reimbursement.

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Crime Scene Investigations
The Crime Scene Investigations Concentration of the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree program provides students with opportunities to master techniques for identification, collection, preservation, analysis, and development of physical and latent evidence. Students develop essential skills needed to conduct criminal investigations, protect and record vital evidence, ensure accurate evidence analysis, interpret amendments related to evidence collection, and document crime scenes and evidence for presentation in a court of law.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-to-BSN)
The RN-to-BSN Program provides registered nurses who hold an associate degree in Nursing, or a diploma in Nursing from an approved program, the opportunity to advance in their educational and career goals. Upper-level coursework emphasizes nursing leadership, and the professional skills required for delivering evidenced-based care professionally and safely. Experiential learning hours are required for NUR 4638C: Individual, Family, and Population Health and NUR 4940C: Professional Nursing Excellence (Capstone Course). These hours are independently arranged by the student, typically at a community agency or at the facility where the student is employed.
