Polk State OTA extends 2026 application deadline through June

The Polk State College Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program will extend its 2026 application period through June 30.

Polk State OTA’s graduates boasted greater than an 89% three-year aggregate pass rate on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Exam from 2023 through 2025, exceeding state averages and illustrating the rigor and quality of the program. The class of 2025 boasted a 100% pass rate. The program’s normal application period is from Feb. 1 through May 31.

Prospective applicants should review the How to Apply information and note that they must be admitted to Polk State and complete observation hour requirements before applying for the limited-access OTA Program. Veterans of the U.S. Military may also benefit from two reserved seats within the program and should email veterans@polk.edu for assistance with the veteran application.

For those considering the program, virtual information sessions are scheduled ahead of the extended deadline for June 12 and June 26. Both meetings will be held at 12 p.m. at this Zoom link: https://polk.zoom.us/j/81552732608.

During the fall, the program was awarded a 10-year accreditation – the highest possible – through the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). More details about the program, including a link to the application are available at polk.edu/OTA.
