Textbooks and Instructional Materials

Polk State College is committed to using affordable textbooks and selects instructional materials that enable students to obtain the highest quality products at the lowest available prices. Textbooks and instructional materials can be purchased through the College’s bookstores. Students are encouraged to learn more about the College’s First Day Access Textbook Savings Program, a partnership with Barnes and Noble, that delivers course materials online at reduced prices (participation varies by instructor).

Access Polk State College’s Syllabus Library

Consistent with state requirements, the College maintains and publishes lists of required and recommended textbooks and a repository for course syllabi. The above link provides access to all course syllabi, 45 days prior to the start of the course, at a minimum. Textbook affordability is indicated in every syllabus, in the “Required Text and Materials” section. Look for the following icons to assist in your journey to find courses using low-cost materials.
