Polk State College (PSC) offers a variety of degrees and certificates including bachelor degrees, associate degrees, college-credit certificates, and vocational certificates.
The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Supervision and Management program provides individuals with an associate’s degree or the equivalent the opportunity to build upon the foundational skills attained through their associate’s degree programs by completing upper-division coursework in management and leadership practices.
The Associate in Arts (AA) degree is designed for students interested in pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree. Programs of study leading to the AA degree consist of a general education component of 36 credit hours as well as 24 credits of college-transfer electives for a total of 60 credits.
The primary purpose of Associate in Science (AS) and Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree programs and Certificate programs is to prepare students for employment in a specific occupational/technical field. To differing extents, all three prepare students for additional education. Many AS programs are designed to articulate directly with State University System programs. Additionally, all AS and AAS programs qualify students to apply for admission to Polk State College’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Supervision and Management.
