Summer hours in effect for some Polk State services

The Summer 2026 Semester is underway at Polk State College and some of the College’s resources and services will have shorter hours or are closed until the fall.

Beginning this week, the Polk State Bookstore, located on the Lakeland and Winter Haven campuses, will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Monday through Thursday. Bookstores will be closed Friday through Sunday. There will be no change to online ordering.

On the Lakeland Campus, the Library will open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. The Lakeland Teaching Learning Computing Center (TLCC) will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

On the Winter Haven Campus, the Library will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. The Winter Haven TLCC will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special afterhours testing can be arranged by contacting Chris Fullerton, Director of Learning Resources for the Winter Haven Campus, at cfullerton@polk.edu.

At the Polk State JD Alexander Center in Lake Wales, TLCC hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Online services such as Ask a Librarian will remain available and scheduling for testing will remain available.

Dining services through Canteen on the Polk State Lakeland and Winter Haven campuses will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, and remain closed through the summer. Weight rooms on both campuses will also be closed throughout the summer.
