ParaProfessional Examination – ParaPro

ParaPro is for prospective and practicing paraprofessionals. It measures skills and knowledge in reading, math, and writing.  Additionally, ParaPro gauges the ability to apply those skills and knowledge to assist in classroom instruction.

ParaPro Policies

1. 1. ParaPro testing is available on the Winter Haven & Lakeland Campuses.
   2. Pre-registration is mandatory; there are no provisions for walk-in testing.
   3. The cost of ParaPro is $55 plus a $35 Polk State College proctoring fee.  Fees are non-refundable.
   4. To schedule a testing appointment, click on the link below for your preferred campus.

   5. To submit payment for the test, please follow this link to the payment website.
      • On the Polk State College Continuing Education payment website, you will need to create an account. Click LOGIN/CREATE ACCOUNT, then click CREATE NEW PROFILE.  Follow the website instructions to create an account.
      • From the left-hand menu, click on TESTING. You will need to choose TESTING again from the drop-down menu.
      • Choose ParaPro Test from the options listed and click Add to cart.  Follow the prompts for completing the payment.
   6. A test taker must arrive at the Testing Center 30 minutes before the scheduled testing appointment.  Bring a physical, valid (not expired) government-issued photo identification.
      • Testers will create an account with ETS/ParaPro. If the name shown on your valid, government-issued photo ID does not match your registration record, you will not be permitted to test. ETS/ParaPro does not offer a refund in the case of non-matching names.

ParaPro Fees

• All fees are non-refundable.
• The exam cost is $55, the test administration cost is $35, for a full cost of $90.  Fees are payable on the Polk State College Continuing Education website.
