CLEP Policies

    1. College-Level Examination Program testing is available on the Winter Haven Campus only.
    2. Pre-registration is mandatory; there are no provisions for walk-in testing.
    3. An individual can sign up for a testing account on the College Board website at MyAccount. This account allows the student to select and purchase the exam desired, as well as complete other tasks. The student must bring a printed registration ticket to the testing center.
    4. To make your Polk State College Testing Center Fee payment please follow this link to the registration page.
      • From the Polk State College Continuing Education site, please choose Testing from the left-hand menu. You will need to choose Testing again from the drop-down menu.
      • Choose CLEP Testing Center Fee from the testing options listed and click Add to cart.
      • The website will prompt you to create a login. Follow the website instructions to create an account and pay for your test.
    5. To schedule your Testing Appointment visit RegisterBlast.
    6. A test taker must arrive at the TLCC 15 minutes before the scheduled testing appointment with his/her MyAccount registration ticket, a receipt from Polk State College Continuing Education website showing Testing Center Fee payment, and the required form of identification.

CLEP Fees

  • The CLEP test fee is payable to the College Board through MyAccount.
    * CLEP Exam price: $93 beginning July 1, 2024 $95
  • A $35 test administration fee is payable to Polk State College Continuing Education website. Please see the CLEP Policies section #6 for registration directions.

CLEP Policies for Identification

PRIMARY ID is required to take a College-Level Examination Program test. This identification must be a government-issued photo ID. The ID must include the candidate’s name, signature, and a recognizable photograph.

Acceptable forms of primary identification include:

  • A current passport with name, photograph, and signature
  • A valid driver’s license with name, photograph, and signature
  • A State or Province ID issued by the motor vehicle agency with name, photograph, and signature
  • A national ID with name, photograph, and signature
  • A tribal ID card
  • A naturalization card or certificate of citizenship
  • A Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) with name, photograph, and signature
  • A Military ID with name, photograph, and electronic signature
