Hello Eagles!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site! Phi Theta Kappa is an International Honor Society, with a primary focus is the development of student leadership through service. We truly enjoy giving back to our community, school, and fellow students. There is no time component required on your part, as we realize that most of our members are busy with jobs, school, and families. However, we highly encourage you to participate in our activities to achieve the maximum benefit from our society. Through Phi Theta Kappa, not only can you make a difference in the school and the community, but you can make friends and contacts that will last a lifetime. Many of our members continue to participate in events as alumni because of the experiences they had as members of Phi Theta Kappa. Our members say it best! Please explore our main website and become familiar with our vibrant and diverse learning community: www.ptk.org. As you can see, the benefits of membership are numerous. The camaraderie, personal growth, and chapter development are immeasurable aspects of your membership as well.

Being a part of Phi Theta Kappa has proven to be one of the best decisions you will make in the pursuit of higher education. If you have made the decision to become a member of the most prestigious international honor society for two-year colleges, numerous opportunities are available to you. Xi Pi (Winter Haven chapter) and Beta Upsilon Upsilon (Lakeland chapter) members have the chance to travel, attend leadership building seminars and conferences, fellowship with other chapters, make new friends, network, have access to exclusive scholarships, be courted by colleges and universities, serve their community, and have fun!!!

Advisors, Penny Morris and Anthony Cornett
As advisors of the Beta Upsilon Upsilon and Xi Pi chapters of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, we warmly welcome you. We, too, were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa at our community colleges while we attended classes toward our Associates degree. We wholeheartedly believe in the four hallmarks of this organization: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Fellowship. We are so proud to serve the students, school, community, and society. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to us.
