Polk State collegiate high schools to hold info sessions for 2026-27

Posted on by Polk Newsroom

With application dates around the corner for Polk State College’s collegiate high schools, information sessions will be held over the next several months for parents and prospective students.

Polk State’s three charter high schools allow students to simultaneously complete requirements for their high school diplomas while earning college credits at no cost to them. In most cases, students graduate with both their high school diplomas and Associate in Arts (AA) degrees.

To help make informed decisions about which school is right for them, each of the three collegiate high schools will hold multiple information sessions. Polk State Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School will begin accepting applications on Nov. 1. Polk State Lakeland Gateway to College Collegiate High School’s application period opens Nov. 5.

Housed on the Lakeland Campus, Gateway will hold information sessions on Nov. 4, Jan. 13 and Feb. 10. All three are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Lakeland Technology Building (LTB), room 1100.

Chain of Lakes, on the Winter Haven Campus, has information sessions scheduled for Nov. 13, Dec. 11, Jan. 20 and Feb. 24. The first session will be held virtually on Zoom at this link. The final three will take place at the Winter Haven Fine Arts Theatre. All three are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The application period remains open until March 7.

Polk State Lakeland Collegiate High School, also on the Lakeland Campus, accepts applications from Jan. 1 through Feb. 27. Lakeland Collegiate has info sessions set for Nov. 13, Jan. 15 and Feb. 3. All three are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in LTB 1100.
