Financial Aid Processing Continues, Book Vouchers Available

Posted on by Polk Newsroom

As financial aid processing for the upcoming fall semester continues, Polk State’s Student Financial Services is taking extra measures to assist students who need to purchase their textbooks.

Student Financial Services Director Marcia Conliffe said College personnel recognize that there are students who submitted all of their financial aid documentation by the Aug. 5 deadline but still have not received their awards.

To assist those students, the College is issuing book vouchers that can be used to purchase textbooks. Students who are eligible for financial aid but haven’t received their awards should visit Student Financial Services on either the Lakeland or Winter Haven campus. Student Financial Services employees will verify students’ eligibility and issue vouchers to students who qualify.

Students should note that only those who are eligible for financial aid will receive a book voucher.

Students should continue to check their accounts via PASSPORT, the College’s online system for communicating with students, for updates on their eligibility.
