Mission Statement and Core Values

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide professional training and educational programs to law enforcement, corrections and correctional probation officers. Officers are trained to deliver the highest quality services to all citizens. This is accomplished through a partnership between the Institute of Public Safety, the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commisssion, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, local, regional and state agencies.

INTEGRITY: Integrity is the very foundation of our core ethics and shall be exhibited in every aspect of our professional and personal lives. We will be honest, competent and consistent in our beliefs and actions.

RESPECT: We shall consistently demonstrate tolerance, civility and fairness when dealing with the students, local, regional, state agencies and each other. Our reputation is dependent upon our ability to operate free from prejudice and favoritism in all situations. We shall remain cognizant of the fact that many judge our institute by the actions of one individual; therefore, we shall always conduct ourselves in a manner that ensures respect for all our employees, our students, and client agencies. We will promote a climate of mutual trust and respect.
