Polk State Extends Deadline to Use Financial Aid at Bookstores

To help ease the new-semester rush, Polk State College has extended the deadline for students to use their financial aid for bookstore purchases.

According to Polk State Student Financial Services Director Marcia Conliffe, the deadline for students to use their financial aid to purchase books was originally Wednesday, Aug. 28.

However, that deadline has been pushed to Friday, Aug. 30.

“We want our students to have every opportunity to have a successful semester,” Conliffe said. “Giving our students extra time to use their financial aid to buy their books, is one way we can help get them off to the right start.”

Polk State’s bookstores are open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Polk State Winter Haven’s bookstore is located in the Student Center; Polk State Lakeland’s is located in LAC, adjacent to the Student Center.
