Polk State College welcomes nearly 10,000 students back to its campuses and centers for the Spring 2019 Semester.

Students started 16-week and FASTRACK 1 sessions Friday, Jan. 4, the last day to add fully online or hybrid courses for these sessions. The last day to drop courses and receive a 100 percent refund for these sessions is Thursday, Jan. 10. Financial aid disbursements for these sessions will begin Friday, Jan. 18.

Students may still register for 12-week and FASTRACK 2 sessions. The 12-week session starts Monday, Feb. 4, and the FASTRACK 2 session begins Monday, March 4.

“I am thrilled to welcome students to a new semester and a new year at Polk State College,” Polk State President Angela Garcia Falconetti said. “With top-notch programming, effective student services, and a limitless amount of opportunities, I am certain students will have a successful semester as they inch closer toward their degrees and career goals.”

Students are encouraged to visit Polk State’s online Admission Steps, which walk through the registration process and answer frequently asked questions. Currently enrolled students may register through PASSPORT. Prospective students must submit an online application to Polk State.

Students are also encouraged to begin the financial aid process as early as possible. The first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Assistance completing the FAFSA is available through the Office of Student Financial Services.

Students can pay for classes through PASSPORT and should regularly check their accounts and their College emails for important registration and financial aid information.
