Enrollment for the summer and fall 2021 semesters at Polk State College has started with priority registration for students who have completed at least 50 percent of their program requirements. Students can check the status of their program requirements, their registration appointment dates, and register for classes in Passport.
Summer semester open enrollment will begin on April 5 and classes will start on May 10. Fall semester registration will also be open on April 5 for students who were enrolled in fall 2020 or are currently enrolled this spring. Fall open enrollment will begin on June 1 and classes will start on August 16.
Polk State will host a series of virtual open house events in April and May with sessions in both English and Spanish covering topics from the admissions process and registering for classes to applying for financial aid and scholarships. Individuals who are interested in attending Polk State are highly encouraged to participate and asked to monitor the www.polk.edu/openhouse page for more information, including a schedule and links to the virtual sessions when they become available. The first virtual open house event is scheduled for April 15.
Prospective students must submit a free online application to Polk State. Information about the application, orientation, and registering for classes is available at polk.edu/admission-aid/admissionsteps.
Dual enrollment students should work with their high school advisors and email DEregistration@polk.edu for registration assistance if needed.
It is important to note that Polk State remains in Phase II of its Return to Campus Plan, with many classes taking place online or in hybrid formats which integrate in-person and online learning. When registering for classes in Passport, students should check the course descriptions for specific details about class formats and expectations.
