Polk State College administrative assistant Isanita Suarez has been accepted to the Association of Florida College’s Certified College Professional program.

The Association of Florida Colleges is the professional association for Florida’s 28 public community and state colleges, their Boards, employees, retirees and associates.

The Certified College Professional program offers participants the opportunity to earn a designation related to their work as a college professional, and expose them to content and experience they may not be able to get otherwise.

Prospective CCP participants must have been employed by a Florida College System institution for at least three years, and in their current positions for at least one year. Participants must also be recommended by their college president.

Suarez has worked as an administrative assistant at Polk State Corporate College for more than three years.

Polk State Corporate College was established in 2002 and is located at Polk State’s Airside Center in Lakeland. Each year it trains nearly 12,000 members of the Polk County workforce, equipping them with certifications and updated skills in fields as diverse as insurance and advanced manufacturing.
