Polk State Student Helps Sister With Rare Disease

Lorann Pate is a high school student who is also taking classes at Polk. Her younger sister has King Syndrome, a rare congenital muscle tissue disease. Lorann hopes to one day study neonatal medicine so she can help children like her sister. Read more of the story at the Ledger.
