Polk State Nursing to offer summer admission window with addition of Microbiology and A&P classes

Polk State College’s Nursing Program will accept applications for a special summer admission cycle from May 11 through May 22, 2026, for the generic Associate of Science in Nursing track.
The College added extra summer sections of Microbiology and Anatomy and Physiology II, allowing students to finish their prerequisites this summer to enter the Nursing Program in the Fall 2026 Semester.
Admission requirements remain the same. Students must submit a free application to the College and be admitted before applying to the Nursing Program online through Etrieve. Questions can be directed to nursing@polk.edu.
Polk State Nursing is a limited-admission, sought-after program with licensure pass rates that exceed state and national averages, highlighting its success in preparing graduates for rewarding careers in healthcare. Polk State Associate in Science in Nursing graduates achieved a 100% ultimate pass rate in 2024 on the NCLEX-RN and a 97.4% first-time pass rate in 2025.
