Polk State Nursing to hold info sessions

The highly sought, limited-admission Nursing Program at Polk State College will host information sessions on each campus.

Info sessions will take place on Thursday, February 29, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in WLR 106 on the Winter Haven Campus, 999 Ave. H N.E. and on Tuesday, March 5,  from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in LTB 1100 on the Lakeland Campus, 3425 Winter Lake Road.

More information regarding changes to the Nursing Program’s application period is forthcoming. Prospective students are encouraged to monitor polk.edu/nursing.

Polk State Nursing offers a generic track for individuals without current healthcare licenses and a transition track for those with current licenses; who are certified licensed practical nurses, paramedics, or respiratory therapists; or are qualified military medics. Both tracks lead to the Associate in Science in Nursing degree. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program is open admission.

Polk State Nursing has a record of success in preparing highly skilled nurses for rewarding careers in the growing field of healthcare. Associate in Science in Nursing graduates at Polk State boast 100% first-time pass rates on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses for the last three quarters, exceeding the national average of 87.74%.
