Polk State announces important dates for second 6-week summer session

Posted on by Polk Newsroom

Polk State College has announced important updates to the academic calendar for the second six-week summer session, which begins Tuesday, June 24.

Tuition and fees for the Summer Term were due at the beginning of the term, May 2. As registration continues to be open for future sessions, students enrolled before the start of the second six-week session are required to pay all fees, including bookstore charges, by Thursday, June 19. Students who have not paid by this date will be dropped for non-payment on Monday, June 23.

Students can add classes through the Polk Portal until Thursday, June 26. Academic advisors will remain available to assist with registration through Monday, June 30. June 30 is also the final day to drop a class for the second six-week summer session and receive a full refund.

It’s important to note that students who add classes after the session begins must ensure payment is completed promptly—those with unpaid fees will be dropped on Tuesday, July 1.

Polk State encourages all students to check their schedules, meet with an advisor if needed, and complete all necessary steps to stay enrolled and on track this summer.

Assistance with admission is available by emailing one of the following, based on the first letter of the student’s last name:
