Lab Assistants

One of the many requests we received from students is a need for more specialized learning support for Digital Media Technology projects. Students completing assignments in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or similar apps often need specialized help and access to equipment and media resources not readily available at the TLCC or elsewhere at the college. So we listened… and then we acted.

Our supportive dean, Donald Painter, gave us permission to hire two lab assistants to help with inventory control, instructional assistance, learning support and other needs. In turn, we hired Vernon Aguirre and Robin Jenkins (both DMT majors) to each work 20+ hours weekly. Both have been doing an excellent job organizing, configuring and getting the labs in order. Additionally, they work one-on-one with students, help with photo and video projects, lend equipment for DMT classes and keep our department running smoothly.

Their hours are posted on the doors in LTB 1308 and LTB1307, and they can be found in the lab area of LTB1307 Mondays through Thursdays 9am to 6pm. We are delighted to have them on our team. Be sure to stop by and check them out!
