Polk State OTA announces new application period, dates for 2026 info sessions

The Polk State College Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program has announced a new, longer application period and more than 20 online information sessions to be held throughout 2026.
The application period will now run from Feb. 1 through May 31. Prior to the application period, prospective applicants should review the How to Apply information and note that they must be admitted to Polk State and complete observation hour requirements before applying for the limited-access OTA Program. Veterans of the U.S. Military may also benefit from two reserved seats within the program and should email veterans@polk.edu for assistance with the veteran application.
For those considering the program, virtual information sessions are held throughout the year. All meetings will be held at 12 p.m. at this Zoom link: https://polk.zoom.us/j/81552732608. Below is a list of dates.

Polk State OTA’s graduates boasted nearly an 86% three-year aggregate pass rate on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Exam from 2022 through 2024, exceeding state averages and illustrating the rigor and quality of the program. The class of 2025 boasted a 100% pass rate.
During the fall, the program was awarded a 10-year accreditation – the highest possible – through the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). More details about the program, including a link to the application are available at polk.edu/OTA.
