Fall 2022 graduates stand out from crowd with their grad caps

Graduates stood out from the crowd at Polk State College’s 127th commencement ceremony in more ways than one.

For the first time in Polk State history, baccalaureate graduates wore red regalia and associate grads donned traditional black.

The individuality and creativity of graduates also came through on their grad caps. While many students spend weeks before graduation brainstorming, prepping, and bedazzling the perfect mortarboards, others have the opportunity to make last-minute additions at the Student Activities and Leadership Office’s (SALO) decorating table before the ceremony.
