The
administration of Polk Community College may find it necessary
to close the College in the event of
adverse
 weather conditions or for other unexpected emergencies.
The best place to
determine whether PCC will be open or closed is to check PCC's
web site. An
announcement about our plans will be posted on this page or linked from this page.
If a storm is threatening and nothing has been posted, please
check back again soon. We will make every effort to post an
announcement here as soon as a decision has been made.

On campus, students
can check PCC's closed circuit TV for closing announcements. A
recorded announcement about PCC's operation schedule will
be available by calling PCC's main phone number: 863-297-1000.
PCC has also established a special
redirect number. This means that if PCC loses power after a
storm hits
the main phone number will be transferred to another phone off
campus and callers will hear an announcement about PCC’s
plans.
