What is FortifyFL?

Fortify FL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows anyone to share information with law enforcement and school officials instantly. Students, staff, families, and community members can use the app to report school safety concerns anonymously and easily.

Why FortifyFL Matters

The Florida Legislature directed the development of FortifyFL as part of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. This tool plays a critical role in helping ensure that all Florida schools remain safe, secure learning environments where students and educators can learn without fear.

How Reports Are Handled

  • Reports are routed to threat assessment teams
  • School Resource Officers (SROs) receive relevant tips
  • Some reports are sent directly to 911 when immediate action is required
