Erin Martinez came to Polk State College with eight years of experience in education and nonprofit sectors. Her professional experience with Polk County Public Schools, Florida Southern College, and Talbot House Ministries offers a unique perspective and meaningful local connections across the Polk County community. She has navigated every component of the grants development and administration process, expanding her portfolio through constructive funder relationships and collaborative program design, compelling research and writing, and demonstration of strong outcomes. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida Southern College and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from the University of Central Florida.

Erin is engaged in multiple civic activities, most recently serving as president of the Lakeland TigerTown Rotary and National Philanthropy Day Chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Greater Polk County chapter.  Outside of her professional interests, she enjoys travel, gardening, roller skating, and spending time with her husband and family.
