Spring 2020 open enrollment starts Nov. 4 at Polk State

Posted on by Polk Newsroom

Open enrollment starts Monday, November 4, for spring 2020 classes, which begin January 6 at Polk State College.

Priority registration will start Monday, October 28, for currently enrolled students with at least 30 credit hours, as well as for other qualified students such as veterans and those with disabilities. Students may register through PASSPORT.

Prospective students must submit a free online application at www.polk.edu/admission-aid. Information on how to complete online orientation and register for classes is included in email communication after the student applies, as well as online at www.polk.edu/admission-aid/admissionsteps.

Students will also find answers to frequently asked questions about topics including the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT), paying for college and financial aid, establishing Florida residency, submitting transcripts, and more online.

Students are encouraged to begin the financial aid process as early as possible. The first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Assistance completing the FAFSA is available through the Office of Student Financial Services, which is holding FAFSA workshops on the Winter Haven and Lakeland campuses, as well as at the Polk State JD Alexander Center in Lake Wales. More information is available by calling 863.297.1004 or emailing financialaid@polk.edu.

Throughout the registration and financial aid process, students should regularly check PASSPORT and their College email accounts for important registration and financial aid information.

More information and assistance will be available at Polk State’s upcoming open house events.
