Posted on by Polk Newsroom

Polk State College will be closed from Monday, March 22, through Sunday, March 28, for spring break, but assistance will be available by email and phone for students preparing to enroll for the Summer 2021 Semester. Saturday classes will meet on March 20.

The College will reopen on Monday, March 29, which is the first day of priority registration for students who have completed at least 50 percent of their program requirements. Open enrollment will begin on April 5 and summer classes will start on May 10.

Students with questions or admission steps that need to be completed prior to registering for classes can receive assistance over spring break by emailing registrar@polk.edu or calling 863.297.1000 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Prospective students must submit a free online application to Polk State. Information about the application, orientation, and registering for classes is available at www.polk.edu/admission-aid/admissionsteps.

It is important to note that Polk State remains in Phase II of its Return to Campus Plan, with many classes taking place online or in hybrid formats which integrate in-person and online learning. When registering for classes in Passport, students should check the course descriptions for specific details about class formats and expectations.

Students should continue to monitor www.polk.edu and their Polk State emails for important updates and resources.
