Polk State Paramedic application for fall 2026 open 1/31 through May

The application for the Polk State Paramedic Certificate Program opens this month for the Fall 2026 Semester.

Part of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program, the Paramedic Certificate Program provides a study of the information, skills, and techniques necessary to implement safe, effective, and appropriate care as an entry-level paramedic. The application period lasts from Jan. 31 through May 31.

For new students, a Polk State application, all transcripts, proofs of residency and new student online registration are to be completed by April 6. For those accepted into the program, an orientation will be held on June 29. Classes begin Aug. 10.

The limited admission program boasts a 100% pass rate on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic exam. The last two cohorts also boast a 100% first attempt pass rate.
