Polk State Nursing application open March 15 – 25

Posted on by Polk Newsroom

Polk State College’s Nursing Program will accept applications from March 15 through March 25, 2025, as part of its late admission window for the generic, transition, and bachelor’s degree tracks for the Fall 2025 Semester.

Prospective students should note that the admission window used to extend into June. The update to the admission window is a benefit for students as it will allow sufficient time to complete all health and immunization requirements, clinical processing, and orientation prior to the start of classes in August.

Admission requirements have not changed, and the late admission window provides an opportunity for prospective students who did not apply during early admission between January 15 and March 1. Interested students can submit a free online application at polk.edu/nursing.

Polk State Nursing is a limited-admission, sought-after program with licensure pass rates that exceed state and national averages, highlighting its success in preparing graduates for rewarding careers in healthcare. Polk State Associate in Science in Nursing graduates received 100% pass rates for four consecutive quarters from the second quarter of 2023 through the first quarter of 2024. The second-quarter NCLEX-RN pass rate for 2024 was 93.48%, bringing the program’s cumulative annual average to 96.7%.

Spring 2026 Semester applicants will have an early admission window from June 1 through September 1, 2025, and a late admission window from October 15 through October 25, 2025. Students seeking more information or who have questions can email nursing@polk.edu.
