The Polk State Corporate College was the winner of two awards at the 5th Annual Champions Cup Business & Industry Awards last week in Bartow.
With its awards, the Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 recognizes businesses and organizations that employ exemplary best practices and have a positive influence on the economic well-being of the Bartow-area business community.
The Polk State Corporate College won in the category of Business-to-Business Business of the Year, for its creation and delivery of customized education and training programs that address regional workforce needs. A total of 12 nominations were submitted for the Business-to-Business award.
Because of its win in that category, the Polk State Corporate College was eligible for the overall prize of Business of the Year. The Polk State Corporate College was one of six businesses vying for Business of the Year, but it was the standout from the get-go.
