Polk State College celebrates Women’s History Month

Polk State College kicked off its celebration of Women’s History Month this week and will host events at the Winter Haven and Lakeland campuses to honor and empower women.

The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, in partnership with the Polk State College Foundation, Student Activities Boards, and S.I.S.T.E.R.S. Club, will bring students, faculty, and staff, and members of the community together for favorites including the Foundation’s Wise & Witty Women and Many Magnificent Men Luncheon.

The events planned for the month include:

A Call For Non Violence: One Billion Rising Art Exhibition

Knowing Your Worth

Speaker: Pairris Jones, Associate Director of Career Development, Florida Polytechnic University
