Latin Guitarist Marc E to Perform at Polk State Oct. 7 and 8

Posted on by Polk Newsroom

As part of Polk State College’s Hispanic Heritage Month, Polk State Lake Wales will present three free concerts by Latin guitarist Marc E.

Marc E has been making music for more than 25 years. He honed his skills on the acoustic guitar while studying in Europe and performing in small venues throughout England and Europe. He has performed with professional guitarists from genres as wide-ranging as classic rock and smooth jazz.

His experiences working with musicians from all over the world and from all types of musical backgrounds helped Marc E develop a personal style that combines “smooth jazz and Latin jazz with a twist of Persian flavor,” according to a bio Marc E provided Polk State.

Marc E’s performances will take place at the following times and locations:

  • Oct. 7, 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Polk State JD Alexander Center, 152 E. Central Ave., Lake Wales
  • Oct. 8, 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., Polk State Lakeland Student Center, 3425 Winter Lake Road
  • Oct. 8, 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., Polk State Winter Haven Student Center, 999 Ave. H N.E.

All performances are free and open to the public.

Marc E will perform as part of Polk State Lake Wales’ Downtown Concert Series and Campus Concert Series, both of which have brought a diverse array of artists to Polk County.
