Important Notice

Polk State College is exercising flexibility as students continue to navigate the start of the Fall 2024 Semester and the newly launched Polk Portal. Below are important dates and information regarding registration, tuition and fee payments, purchasing books and materials, and more.

Registration for Fall 2024 16-week and Fastrack 1 Classes

Polk State College has extended the registration deadline for Fall 2024 Semester 16-week and Fastrack 1 (eight-week) classes to 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14.

The Polk Portal experienced an outage Wednesday morning that may have impacted students trying to register for classes before the original 8 a.m. deadline.

Students register for classes in the Polk Portal, which has replaced Passport. Students who need further assistance are urged to speak with an advisor.

Students can access the Polk Portal by clicking the link at the top of polk.edu or by visiting experience.elluciancloud.com/psc.

Student Tuition and Fee Payments

The College has extended the Fall 2024 Semester payment deadline to Friday, August 16, (from August 13) to ensure that financial aid and scholarship awards are reflected in students’ portals and to provide students with more time to settle their accounts. After this date, students will be dropped for non-payment.

Please note that the drop-for-non-payment date is after the Wednesday, August 14, add/drop deadline and as such, students will not be able to reregister for 16-week or Fastrack 1 classes. They will only be able to register for 12-week or Fastrack 2 classes.

Students should pay for their classes online through the Polk Portal. The College recommends using a Chrome browser to complete this task. Checks and money order payments (no cash) can be accepted at the College Cashier’s windows on the Lakeland and Winter Haven Campuses.

Bookstore and Instructional Materials

Due to the extended payment deadline, Student Financial Services has extended the Financial Aid book purchase period to August 23.

Professors are exercising flexibility with students who may be having difficulty securing instructional materials prior to homework deadlines.

Class Waitlists

Students who were on waiting lists for classes have already been contacted and moved to new classes.

Students who are not able to register through the Polk Portal can complete a fillable form available here and email it to FallRegistration24@polk.edu. It will be reviewed and processed. Students will receive a response within 48 business hours.

Students who are having technical difficulties can call 863.904.0500 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday through Friday.
