Polk State College is committed to celebrating the diverse cultures that make our community and our country so great. Each year in January, the College commemorates the birthday of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A luncheon with guest speaker is held, and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship is awarded for use at Polk State College.

Scholarships will be awarded at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Luncheon on Jan. 11, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. in the Polk State Winter Haven Student Center. The Polk State College Foundation will be contacting recipients after the luncheon to provide more information about accessing funds for classes or books for Spring Term 2017 or later.
