Polk State’s Warriors for Wellness 5K announces discounts for select groups through March 25

Warriors for Wellness 5K

Polk State College’s Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant programs will host the inaugural Warriors for Wellness 5K on Saturday, April 6, 2024, on the Winter Haven Campus.

General registration is $35 but there are several discounted rates for select groups through March 25. Additionally, participants who register by March 18 will receive a race T-shirt. Registration and discount details are available here: www.athlinks.com/event/warriors-for-wellness-5k-385045.

Registration takes place up until race day. A finisher medal will be handed out at the finish line.

The 5K aims to promote community wellness and raise awareness about Polk State’s Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) programs. The event will also serve as a fundraiser for the programs, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Mission in Winter Haven.

Polk State’s highly reputable OTA and PTA programs enjoy strong records of success, with graduates of the OTA Program boasting a 95% pass rate and graduates of the PTA Program achieving a 100% pass rate on their licensure exams, exceeding national and state averages.
