Polk State’s PTA Program announces new application period, hosts several info sessions

Polk State College’s Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program’s application period now begins earlier in the calendar year. To make sure those interested in the program know everything they need to, several information sessions are scheduled throughout the academic year.

Previously in May, the application period for PTA Program will now be open from Jan. 15 through Feb. 28 for the Fall 2026 Semester. It is important that students review the prerequisites for the program as well as the instructions to access and complete the online application.

Throughout the 2025-26 Academic Year, those interested will have several opportunities to attend an information session via Zoom. The first session of the Fall 2025 Semester is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 12:30 p.m. Attendance of at least one session is required for admission to the program.

All sessions will take place at 12:30 p.m. and at this Zoom link. Below are information session dates for the 2025-26 Academic Year:

Led by Program Director Mary Krell and housed on the Winter Haven Campus, the Polk State PTA Program currently boasts a 100% pass rate on licensure exams. Those interested in the program or with questions are encouraged to email pta@polk.edu.
