Posted on by Polk Newsroom

Polk State College will be closed on Monday, May 31, 2021, in observance of Memorial Day. Saturday classes will take place as scheduled, and registration will continue for summer and fall.

Enrollment is open for the second session of six-week summer classes, which will begin on June 23. Additionally, currently enrolled students can also register for fall classes, which will begin on August 16. Open enrollment for the Fall 2021 Semester will start on Tuesday, June 1, when the College reopens.

Current students can register for classes through their Passport. Prospective students must submit a free online application to Polk State at polk.edu/admission-aid/admissionsteps. Dual enrollment students should work with their high school advisors and email DEregistration@polk.edu for registration assistance if needed.

Students who need assistance while Polk State is closed for Memorial Day may email registrar@polk.edu. It is important to note that staff will be answering general questions and any requests for changes to records, such as updating residency or removing holds from an account, will be addressed when the College reopens on Tuesday, June 1.

Students will find answers to frequently asked questions about topics including applying to Polk State, placement testing (PERT), financial aid, paying for college, establishing Florida residency, submitting transcripts, and more online at www.polk.edu/admission-aid.

Throughout the registration and financial aid process, students should regularly check their Passport and Polk State email accounts for important registration and financial aid information from the College.
