Polk State salutes veterans

Polk State held Veterans Day events on the Lakeland campus (Nov. 6, 2018) and the Winter Haven campus (Nov. 8, 2018) to recognize veterans of the armed forces and salute them for their service.

Students, faculty, and staff heard from guest speakers Gary Clark, Colonel (retired), US Air Force, in Lakeland and Tonia M. Oldham, CMSGT (retired), US Air Force, in Winter Haven.

Students from Polk State’s Music Department sang a selection of patriotic songs.
