Polk State College’s celebration of Women’s History Month is currently under way.

March 14
Screening of “A Mighty Heart”

Angelina Jolie stars in this film about a woman searching for her husband, a journalist who is missing in Pakistan. Discussion will follow the film.
March 19
“From Body Hater to Celebrator”
by Amber Krzys, speaker and activist

7 p.m.
Krzys will share the story of how she won her own “perfect body game,” offering practical tools to help others embrace what’s special about themselves, rather than focusing on what they perceive as inadequate.
