Polk State College’s on-campus bookstores will be open for in-person services from April 12 through May 17, 2021.
The College’s bookstores, located on the Lakeland and Winter Haven campuses, will be open to allow convenient access for students to return textbooks, complete textbook buyback transactions, and purchase or rent instructional materials for the summer semester.
The bookstores will be open for in-person services during these periods:
- April 12 – May 7 | Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Closed Saturdays
- May 10 – May 14 | Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Fridays, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- May 17 | Monday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
On May 18, the bookstores will return to phone, email, and curbside service only. The hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays.
Both bookstores will continue to offer online ordering, delivery by mail, and curbside pickup. Additionally, Polk State’s bookstores are offering $5 return by mail for rental textbooks. Students should visit the Rental Return page on the online bookstore site to create a UPS label. Students will need their order ID to complete the transaction. The deadline for textbook rental returns is May 5.
Additionally, Barnes & Noble, the company that works in partnership with Polk State College to provide bookstore services, wants to learn more about how students feel about their campus stores and their overall retail experience. Students are asked to take the Student Pulse survey to share their thoughts. Students who complete the survey will receive a 15% off discount code that can be used toward their next bookstore purchase and will be entered into a chance to win a $2,500, $1,000, or $500 VISA gift card.
