Polk Portal opens June 25 with priority registration for fall
Beginning Tuesday, June 25, Polk Portal will officially replace Passport as the system Polk State College students use to register for classes.
Priority registration begins on Tuesday. Priority registration is open to students who have completed 75% of their degree program and students in the following programs: Honors Program, TRiO, Disability Services, collegiate high schools, and Athletics. Dual enrollment students are not eligible for priority registration.
General registration begins July 1. All students will still have access to Passport, which can be used to review their degree audit online. Students who need further assistance are urged to speak with an advisor.
It is important to note that fees and financial aid will not be viewable in the Polk Portal when registration opens. The College will provide an update when fees and financial aid are available for viewing.
Accessing the Polk Portal
Students can access the Polk Portal by clicking the link at the top of the College website, polk.edu, or by visiting experience.elluciancloud.com/psc. Students will select “Sign In With Students” and then log in by using their existing Polk State email address and password. Students who have forgotten their credentials or need to reset their passwords can still do so in Passport.
Students will then be directed to the Polk Portal homepage.
Registering for classes
To begin registration for classes, they will select “Open Registration Dashboard” under the “Registration Self-Service” card. Students will be given a list of options to choose from. To continue to class registration, students will select “Register for Classes.”
After selecting “Fall 2024” on the drop-down menu of terms open for registration, students will be sent to the registration page where they can search for classes by subject, course number, instructional method, professor, or day of the week, among other options. A list of options that match the search will appear. To select a particular course, students should click “Add” in the far-right column.
Once courses are added, they will appear as “Pending” on the student’s summary screen and on the class schedule, which helps students ensure that none of their selected classes overlap. To officially register for the class, students must click “Submit” in the lower right-hand corner of the summary screen. Once that has been clicked, the status of the class will go from “Pending” to “Registered.”
