Polk State Lakeland Campus experienced a power outage as a result of Thursday afternoon’s storm. While power has been restored, the College has canceled face-to-face classes on the Lakeland Campus out of an abundance of caution while the stability of power continues to be evaluated.

Students are encouraged to check Canvas for further communication from their professors. Online and hybrid classes are unaffected; however, students should still check in Canvas for communication from their instructors.

Individuals who planned to come to Lakeland Campus for assistance with registration, advising, or financial aid should visit the Winter Haven Campus at 999 Ave. H N.E. between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Assistance is also available by email and phone:

Students are encouraged to monitor polk.edu, the College’s social media accounts, and their my.polk.edu emails for updates.
