Polk State College’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program is kicking off its calendar of informational sessions on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, ahead of the spring application period that will take place May 2025. Attending an informational session is required to apply to the program. The info sessions will take place virtually via Zoom (https://polk.zoom.us/j/5906255588?omn=86009716345) at noon on the following days:

Polk State PTA is a two-year program that leads to an Associate in Science degree and rewarding employment in the field upon successful completion of the licensure exam. Polk State PTA’s 2022 and 2023 graduates achieved a 100% overall pass rate on the licensure exam, illustrating the program’s success in preparing students to become highly skilled healthcare professionals.

A PTA provides patients treatment for various diagnoses across the lifespan to improve their ability to move, reduce or manage pain, restore function, and prevent disability. PTAs help patients regain or maintain their independence and achieve functional goals and mobility.
