Application open through 2/28 for Polk State Physical Therapist Assistant Program

Polk State College’s Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program’s application is open through Feb. 28 for the Fall 2026 Semester. It is important that students review the prerequisites for the program as well as the instructions to access and complete the online application at polk.edu/pta.

Individuals who are interested in applying have upcoming opportunities to attend an information session via Zoom. Attendance of at least one session is required for admission to the program.

All sessions will take place at 12:30 p.m. at this Zoom link on the following dates:

  • Jan. 27, 2026
  • Feb. 11, 2026
  • Feb. 24, 2026

Led by Program Director Mary Krell and housed on the Winter Haven Campus, the Polk State PTA Program currently boasts a 100% pass rate on licensure exams. Those interested in the program or with questions are encouraged to email pta@polk.edu.
