1098-T tax forms will be available for qualified students

Posted on by Polk Newsroom

Students who made payments for qualified tuition and related expenses in  2022 will have access to their 1098-T tax forms via Passport on or after January 31, 2023.

Students should click on the “My Financial Tab” to access the documents via the “1098-T,” “1098-T Information,” and “Calendar Year 2022” links.

Polk State College is required to file a 1098-T Tuition Statement with the Internal Revenue Service for students who made payments for qualified tuition and related expenses during the calendar year. The form is used to compute eligibility for education-related tax credits. Non-standard fees are not included. Examples of non-standard fees include book purchases, obligations, testing fees, late fee charges, health fees, and parking fees.

More information is available at the “Frequently Asked Questions” link located at the bottom of each 1098-T document. Students may also contact studentaccounts@polk.edu for assistance.
