Dustin was a Law Enforcement Recruit who lost his battle with melanoma at the end of his academy training. He never, at any time considered quitting his fight against cancer or giving up on his dream of becoming a Law Enforcement Officer. He completed his training, passed all exams and he walked with his class on graduation night; all the while undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Dustin’s willingness to overcome all adversities and relentless pursuit of his dream inspired his classmates to honor and memorialize him with a scholarship fund. Each new recruit is given the opportunity to apply for the scholarship of $500-$1000. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Dustin Ramsey Memorial Fund.
