2019 Arts Scholarship Auditions and Portfolio Reviews

Polk State College offers scholarships to students who are pursuing transfer tracks in the areas of Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts.

Auditions and portfolio reviews will be held on:

  • THEATRE AUDITIONS will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Polk State Winter Haven Fine Arts Theatre

 

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC AUDITION INFORMATION – Students should be prepared to perform two contrasting selections or etudes from the classical repertory or standard contest-type solo. FBA Level 4 or higher, which displays technical and musical ability and all major scales. Questions? Contact Professor Don West at dwest@polk.edu.

VOCAL MUSIC AUDITION INFORMATION – Students should be prepared to perform two contrasting selections and a sight reading. Questions? Contact Professor Michelle Manzi at mmanzi@polk.edu.

THEATRE AUDITION INFORMATION – Students who are auditioning for Theatre scholarships should have a prepared monologue. Questions? Contact Professor Mark Hartfield at mhartfield@polk.edu.

VISUAL ARTS PORTFOLIO REVIEW INFORMATION – Students should bring a portfolio consisting of 5-20 artworks in any material or medium.
