Exemplary Online Courses
Polk State College takes pride in exemplary online course design and has been using the Quality Matters rubric for guidance of best practices for instructional design since 2011. For a course to be nationally recognized by Quality Matters, it must go through a rigorous faculty peer review process, meet all essential standards in the Quality Matters rubric, and achieve a score of 85 points or more out of 100 points.
All nationally-recognized QM courses are featured on the official Quality Matters website. This site showcases exemplary courses that have been nationally recognized by Quality Matters. It shows how Polk State faculty effectively integrate technology with pedagogy to help students achieve learning outcomes and student success. In addition, the State of Florida recognizes courses that have been certified by QM as High Quality courses and are visible as such in the Florida Shines course catalog.
Please contact the professors directly if you are interested in learning more about their courses. And congratulations to our showcased faculty on their outstanding achievements! We are so very proud of each and every one of them!
