Polk State College takes pride in exemplary online course design. Beginning with the 2011-2012 academic year, Polk State College piloted the Quality Matters rubric in the instructional design of some online courses. For a course to be nationally recognized by Quality Matters, it must go through a rigorous faculty peer review process, meet all essential standards in the Quality Matters rubric, and achieve a score of 84 points or more out of 99 points.
All nationally-recognized QM courses are featured on the official Quality Matters website. This site showcases exemplary courses that have been nationally recognized by Quality Matters. It shows how Polk State faculty effectively integrate technology with pedagogy to help students achieve learning outcomes and student success.
Please contact the professors directly if you are interested in learning more about their courses. And congratulations to our showcased faculty on their outstanding achievements! We are so very proud of each and every one of them!
