The first
stop on our tour is the Pell Grant.
The Federal Pell Grant is federal
money made available to students who show financial need.
Students apply for the Federal Pell Grant by completing the FAFSA application. Students
must have a G.E.D. or a Standard High School Diploma in order to qualify.
Also, students must maintain the Financial
Aid Standards of Progress. Students who are awarded a Pell
Grant do not have to pay the money back! (*)
Students must apply on a yearly
basis for the Pell Grant. FAFSA applications are available
each year in January. We encourage you to complete the application as soon as your taxes are completed, and
submit it no later than May
15th.
Further information on the Pell
Grant can be found on the PCC Federal
Pell Grant page. (*)
Please note: Students who totally withdraw from a term in which
they are awarded a Pell Grant will be billed for a portion of the award
granted for the term. |
